Mass transport from the airport

Public transportation from Hamad International Airport in Doha is well-organised and offers several options for travellers.

Metro

The Doha Metro was opened in 2019 and provides a fast and efficient way to travel. From the airport, you can access the Red Line, which connects directly to central locations such as West Bay, DECC, Katara, and The Pearl-Qatar. 

Travel cards for the Metro can be purchased from vending machines at the stations, with fares starting at 2 QAR  (0.5 USD) for a single journey in standard class.

By using the metro, you can easily get from the city to the F1 circuit. Go to Lusail Metro Station (red line) and then use the official shuttle service that takes you to the circuit.

Buses

The airport is served by several Karwa bus routes that connect to key locations in Doha and beyond. You can purchase a Karwa Smart Card from vending machines at the airport or other designated locations throughout the city. These cards come in various types, including limited and unlimited ride options, starting from 10 QAR (3 USD) for a limited two-ride card​.
